Zusammenfassung:	Scolytinae (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) are reported for the first time in mangrove trees in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Wood was recorded on the branches of L. (Acanthaceae), and (Eichhoff) was recorded in the seeds of L. Gaertn (Combretaceae). has been reported for the first time in Mexico, and has been reported for the first time in Tamaulipas. This work expands the host record of Scolytinae species in Mexico.
