Zusammenfassung: | Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is classified into five stages, and the non-dialytic phase comprises stages 2 to 4, with glomerular filtration rates (GFR) between 90 and 15 ml / min / 1.73 [m.sup.2] respectively. Objectives: to characterize the nutritional profile of nondialytic chronic renal patients treated at a Tertiary Hospital nephrology outpatient clinic and to provide support that justifies the importance of outpatient nutritional monitoring. Materials and Methods: The following anthropometric measurements were taken: weight, height, triceps skinfold (PCT) and arm circumference (CB). From these variables the Body Mass Index (BMI), the adequacy of CB, arm muscle circumference (BMI) and PCT in percentages (%) were calculated. To assess food consumption, the 24-hour recall was used. Results and Discussion: 50 individuals participated in this study, most of them elderly. The results showed that 100% reported having systemic arterial hypertension (SAH). Regarding CKD classification, 34% were in stage 2. When evaluated by age group, it was noted that the mean BMI identified overweight in adults and elderly, in both sexes. There was a directly proportional correlation between CKD stage and protein intake (p |
