Zusammenfassung:In modern industries, such as aerospace, automotive, marine and others, aluminium and magnesium alloys are the most frequently used non-ferrous materials. This paper discusses optimising processing factors to produce a high hardness of dissimilar Al/Mg alloys. The experiment was designed and conducted by varying input factors according to response surface methodology-central composite design. The regression model has been developed between the processing factor and hardness based on the results of the experiment. ANOVA is used to validate the regression model and to assess the percentage of each hardness factor’s contribution. Finally, the desirability approach is used to optimise the processing factor for high hardness.
