Zusammenfassung:The variation of the Bi.sub.1 -.sub.xY.sub.xFeO.sub.3 ceramics atomic structure with yttrium concentration x = 0, 0.10, 0.15, and 0.20 has been analyzed. Ceramic samples have been prepared by rapid sintering using a normal solid-phase reaction. X-ray diffraction data for Bi.sub.1 -.sub.xY.sub.xFeO.sub.3 samples show that the rhombohedric-to-orthorhombic concentration phase transition takes place at x = 0.2 with an inflection point at x = 0.15. It has been found that the permittivity and dielectric loss tangent of the samples gradually decrease with rising yttrium content.
