Defending Parliament, from Fascism to the Republic/Difendere il Parlamento, dal fascismo alla Repubblica

Fascism is characterized by a process of advanced government strengthening. During the Republic this process is less advanced. In both cases, the process causes the weakening of the Parliament, much accentuated during fascism, much less during the Republic. Starting from this assumption, the essay compares the two institutional experiences to highlight the role of the other institutional bodies (the Head of State, the Constitutional Court, the electoral body) which can oppose the process and therefore defend the Parliament.
