A CONSTITUICAO DO SISTEMA PARTICIPATIVO DE GARANTIA DO SUL DE MINAS

Participatory Guarantee Systems (SPG) are intended to ensure, through the participatory compliance assessment process, the assurance that a product, process or service meets the technical regulations of organic agriculture. Despite being regulated in 2009, few groups of farmers have managed to set up a SPG. The experience of the South of Minas in the constitution of its SPG has attracted the attention of several groups. For this work, documentary analysis and participant observation were used as technical methodological procedures. Its objective was to rescue the process of setting up the Southern Minas Gerais SPG, so that it can serve as a theoretical and practical reference for other groups of farmers and technicians who want to know the process of establishing a Participatory Guarantee System. It was verified that the history of the farmers of the region with Agroecology and organic agriculture and the partnerships were aspects that contributed to the constitution and consolidation of the SPG South of Minas. Os Sistemas Participativos de Garantia (SPG) visam assegurar, por meio do processo de avaliacao participativa da conformidade, a garantia de que um produto, processo ou servico atende a regulamentos tecnicos da agricultura organica. Apesar de ter sido regulamentado em 2009, poucos grupos de agricultores conseguiram constituir um SPG. A experiencia do Sul de Minas na constituicao do seu SPG tem chamado a atencao de varios grupos. Para realizacao deste trabalho, utilizou-se da analise documental e observacao participante como procedimentos tecnicos metodologicos. Seu objetivo foi resgatar o processo de constituicao do SPG Sul de Minas, para que possa servir de referencia teorica e pratica para outros grupos de agricultores e tecnicos que queiram conhecer o processo de constituicao de um Sistema Participativo de Garantia. Constatou-se que o historico dos agricultores da regiao com a Agroecologia e agricultura organica e as parcerias foram aspectos que contribuiram para a constituicao e consolidacao do SPG Sul de Minas.
