Emotion recognition study: systematic review/ESTUDO SOBRE RECONHECIMENTO DE EMOCOES: REVISAO SISTEMATICA/Estudio sobre el reconocimiento de emociones: revision sistematica

This study aimed to conduct a systematic review of the literature on scientific production involving the recognition of emotions. The search for articles indexed in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Latin American Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline) and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations was carried out (BDTD), with the keywords "Facial recognition" and "emotion" together with Boolean descriptors. Of the total of 107 articles, 71 met the inclusion criteria. There was an increase in research on emotions, with greater production related to the theme in the year 2013. Regarding the methodologies used in the studies, 19 different types of instruments were identified to assess the recognition of emotions in facial expressions. It was concluded that there is a need for research to deepen evaluation methods involving this theme to standardize tests to evaluate this domain in an ecological way. Este estudo objetivou realizar uma revisao sistematica da literatura sobre a producao cientifica envolvendo o reconhecimento de emocoes. Realizou-se a busca por artigos indexados nas bases de dados Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Literatura Latino-Americana em Ciencias da Saude (LILACS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline) e Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertacoes (BDTD), com as palavras-chave "Reconhecimento facial" e "emocao" juntamente com descritores booleanos. Do total de 107 artigos, 71 atenderam aos criterios de inclusao. Verificou-se o aumento da pesquisa sobre emocoes, com maior producao relacionada ao tema no ano de 2013. Com relacao as metodologias utilizadas nos estudos, foram identificados 19 diferentes tipos de instrumentos para avaliacao do reconhecimento de emocoes em expressoes faciais. Concluiu-se a necessidade de pesquisas para aprofundamento de metodos de avaliacao envolvendo esse tema para padronizacao de testes para avaliar esse dominio de modo ecologico.
