Zusammenfassung: | In this article, I examined three travelogues written in different centuries and shaped the Turkish-Eastern-Islamic image. The first of these is Peter the Monk's travelogue "The History of Jerusalem", which is also categorized as the diary of the first crusade. This travelogue depicting the first mass encounters of Turks and Western Christians on Anatolian soil from Nicaea to Antioch is also a diary. As the travelogue was popularized by the church, it made a lasting "contribution" to the negation of Turkish, Eastern, and Islamic images. |
