Zusammenfassung:This article shares practical literacy teaching and learning insights that have been informed by ongoing professional dialogues between the two authors. Professional dialogues offer a rich source of professional learning as they can provide 'a chance to reflect on and gain fresh insights into teaching practice' (Grey, 2011, p. 28). Specifically, the authors sought to explore how the teaching of morphological awareness can be integrated in a literacy program within the first year of formal schooling. Through these dialogues, the authors created a series of demonstration lessons as the means to showcase reflective and insightful teaching practices. [Author abstract]
