Influence of the Local Surface Damage Parameters on the Natural Frequencies of Vibration of Structural Elements.sup.

This paper presents the results of the calculation and experimental investigations on assessing the influence of the local surface damage parameters on the natural frequencies of vibration of the beam model and a full-scale compressor rotor blade. The regularities are established that determine the variation in the frequency of their first flexural vibration mode depending on the depth and width of the rectangular notch simulating the damage, and its location along the length of the object of investigation.
