Zusammenfassung: | With the American feminist journal Freidenker, the German feminists of the 19th century attempted to create a dialogue between the feminist movements in the Old World and the New. At the forefront of thejournal stood the feminist Julie Engell-Gunther, who worked in the education of Brazil's elites when she came to the country, and who penned the most articles for Freidenker newspaper. "What are the local and global relationships of this journalist of the 19th century?" and "What issues implicit gender and race?" are central questions of this article, constructed studies from Eva SchockQuinteros, from the department of modern and contemporary history at the University of Bremen. In the literature review, there are authors from postcolonial theory, as Anibal Quijano; Chandra Mohanty; Rita Laura Segato and Maria Lugones. Keywords: Feminisms. Intersectionalities. Julie Engell-Gunther As mulheres feministas alemas do seculo 19 encontravam dialogo entre o velho e o novo mundo no jornal americano "Freidenker" ("Livre Pensador"). A revolucionaria de 1848 Julie Engell-Gunther, que atuou na educacao brasileira para elites na sua estada pelo Brasil, e a dona do titulo de maior numero de artigos publicados neste periodico. O jornal de lingua alema que circulava em Milwaukee (Wisconsin) estava ligado ao movimento de mulheres ativistas que, como Engell-Gunther, emigraram da Alemanha desiludidas com a revolucao 1848. "Quais as relacoes entre o novo e o velho mundo desta jornalista do seculo 19", "Quais as questoes implicitas de genero e raca?" sao perguntas centrais deste artigo, construido a partir dos estudos de Eva Gortz e Eva Schock-Quinteros, do departamento de historia moderna e contemporanea da Universidade de Bremen.
