Quality of life in professors of the state public net of education of the Aracaju City/Qualidade de vida em professores da rede publica estadual de ensino da cidade de Aracaju-Se

Objective: To diagnosis the quality of life of the professors of Aracaju-Se. Materials and Methods: Descriptive study of the Survey type, one collected the data in August of 2007, in 04 state schools of Aracaju. The sample had the participation of 80 citizens, where these had been divided in two groups (G1 and G2), G1: 1 -40 professors of 1S-4S series of basic education and G2: 2-40 professors of 5S-8S series of basic education. The collection of data was made through the Whoqol-bref questionnaire, developed and validated for the World-wide Organization of the Health to verify the quality of life of the individuals. In the analysis of the data was used it descriptive statistics and test t for independent samples with level of significance of 5% (p< 0.05). Results and Quarrel: The domain environment presented minor value for quality of life, with the following characteristics for the professors of 1S-4S series, for domain: a) Physicist: 65.18[+ or -]15.44; b) Psychological: 65.73[+ or -]11.18; c) Social relations: 71.04[+ or -]18.78; d) Environment: 48.44[+ or -]10.71. For the professors of 5S-8S series had been found by domain: a) Physicist: 68.84[+ or -]18.41; b) Psychological: 69.17[+ or -]14.85; c) Social relations: 69.38[+ or -]16.06; d) Environment: 54.77[+ or -]16.88. Conclusion: The groups are inside of an adequate band of quality of life, having themselves to attempt against for the conditions of work of the group, reflected in the values of it prop up environment.
