Hydrodynamics of Miniring Nozzles Made of a Polymer Material
Results of hydrodynamic tests of dry and irrigated polymer miniring nozzles 40 ∞ 3.5 ∞ 1 mm in dimension are presented. It is shown that MRN-type nozzles surpass foreign counterparts in terms of basic geometric characteristics. Thus, the specific surface of an MRN-type nozzle is 180 m 2 /m 3 , i.e.,...

, i.e., 40% higher than that of the well-known CMR nozzle. Tests demonstrated that the hydraulic resistance of a dry MRN-type nozzle is one-third that of a nozzle made of Raschig rings and 1.3-times less than that of a CMR nozzle. Empirical equations for use in determining hydraulic resistance are presented. |
