Production of high specific activity [sup.144]Ce for artificial sources of antineutrinos

The possibility of obtaining from the fission products of VVER-440 fuel high-activity [sup.144]Ce for artificial sources of antineutrinos is examined. It is shown that the highest specific activity is obtained by reprocessing fuel assemblies which operated at maximum power during the last fuel run.
