Finding the General Term for an Arithmetic Progression: 'Alternatives to the Formula'
The five different methods that can be applied to find an expression for the nth term of an arithmetic progression (AP) are discussed. Students can also be challenged and encouraged by teachers to try and find more methods to find the general term of an AP.
