Reid's Paradox of rapid plant migration: dispersal theory and interpretation of paleoecological records

The Reid's Paradox attempts to explain the phenomenon of plant migration. Studies of plant migration models indicate that factors such as local population growth, reproductive capacity and medium of dispersal determine the rate and range of plant spread.
