Zusammenfassung: | The enactment of a law for the Development of Comprehensive Resort Areas in 1977 has led to the designation of 20 large districts with an area of some 32,000 square kilometers as areas for resort development in Japan. Ski resorts are the main features of resort areas scheduled for development in mountainous regions while marinas are the selling points for those resorts located along the coasts. All of these resorts will have golf courses in the future. Although they bring profits to the developers, the construction of these resorts will have adverse effects on the environment. |
