Zusammenfassung:The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of chemotherapy following endoscopic colonic stenting for obstructive colorectal cancer (CRC).  A total of 55 patients with obstructive symptoms by CRC were evaluated retrospectively. The patients were classified into an stenting before chemotherapy (SC) group and an operation before chemotherapy (OC) group. Technical success rate ware 100% in the SC group patients. There was no significant difference in overall survival between the SC and OC groups. In the SC group, patients who underwent additional surgery had an improved survival compared with those who did not and those in the OC group. Chemotherapy under long-term stent placement is a feasible therapeutic option for patients with obstructive CRC.
