Zusammenfassung:DE 10111094 A UPAB: 20030117 NOVELTY - Discrete hollow microparticles (A) having flexible polymer wall enclosing at least one hollow space, where the wall consists of an aminoplast (I) and the ratio of wall thickness:external particle diameter is at least 1:10. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing (A). USE - (A) are used as compounding agents for thermoplasts during processing, as additives for plastics, paints, sealants, carriers for active compounds and/or sorbents, in fillers, as energy-absorbing components for protection against slippage of stones and as sound absorber in anti-noise pastes. ADVANTAGE - (A) have defined surface structure, wall morphology and particle size, and do not require additives that reduce their quality. Because of their low bulk density, they are less liable to settling than hollow glass beads, and because of their high flexibility are less likely to crack.
