Zusammenfassung:DE 10336290 A UPAB: 20050411 NOVELTY - The electrically-conducting layer (600) supplying components on the board with a potential, has central- (100) and edge- (102) regions. A damping structure with a resistance is coupled with these regions, such that a wave propagating along the layer (600) is more strongly damped at the edge region than in the central region of the layer (600). A further conductive layer (406) separated from the layer (600) by dielectric, supplies components with a different potential. USE - A circuit board for highest clocking frequencies. ADVANTAGE - The positive and negative power supply layers are separated by a very thin dielectric film, resulting in a highly-broadband, low impedance waveguide system for supply of circuitry with highest clocking rates. This replaces lines with distributed individual capacitors, which are only good for clocking frequencies up to a few MHz. The new arrangement is highly damped, whilst at the same time offering a low resistance path for the DC supply voltages. Lower frequencies are not affected and there is no increase in interference level from the supply system.
