Zusammenfassung: | Extract: Relationships between demographic, knowledge and attitude factors, and dietary status were investigated in a group of 169 senior citizens who participated in the Title III-C Meal Program in Prince Georges' County, Maryland. Analysis consisted of Pearson's product moment correlations, and multiple regression. Variables statistically significant in predicting the nutrition knowledge score were: level of education, self-rating of diet, self-rating of health, and age. Multiple regression was used to determine which dependent variables most significantly predicted the variance in independent variables of calories and of nutrients. Results of the research are used to make suggestions for program planning and evaluation. (author/ds) |
