Zusammenfassung:Based on the field studies of 2010–2011, revision of specimens at the herbaria KRAS, LE, NSK, UUH, and published data, 16 species of Polygonum L. have been identified for Buryatia Republic (representing subsect. Polygonum and Patula Tzvel. of the type section). Six species (P. boreale (Lange) Small, P. calcatum Lindm., P. caspicum Kom., P. rectum (Chrtek) H. Scholz., P. sabulosum Worosch., P. tenuissimum A. Baran. et B. Skvortz. ex Worosch.) are new for the region.
