Influence of increased somatic cell count in milk of lowland ewes on the growth and survival of their litter

No relationship was found between health state of ewes' udder and birth weight of their lambs. However, before weaning lambs originating from ewes with an increased somatic cell count showed lower weight gains and higher mortality rate than those sucking mothers with healthy udders
