Ochratoxin nephropathy in pigs and ochratoxin A residues [mycotoxin of feed origin] in porcine kidneys

From 113 swine kidneys affected with nephropathic lesions in 27 cases residues of ochratoxin A were detected. In 17 kidneys the ochratoxin content was below 2 ug/kg. The percentage of pigs with mycotic nephropathy ranged from 0.047% in autumn and winter to 0.054% in spring and summer.
