Sources of resistance from chickpea international Fusarium wilt nursery 2008-2009
Ninety nine genotypes of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L) were screened for resistance to wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri in a wilt sick plot. None of the test lines were found to be immune or highly resistant. At the seedling stage, 39 genotypes (06004, 06013, 06014, 06020, 06023...

Zusammenfassung: | Ninety nine genotypes of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L) were screened for resistance to wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri in a wilt sick plot. None of the test lines were found to be immune or highly resistant. At the seedling stage, 39 genotypes (06004, 06013, 06014, 06020, 06023, 06024, 06028, 06029, 06030, 06031, 06032, 06034, 06035, 06037, 06040, 06042, 06046, 06050, 06051, 06052, 06054, 06058, 06059, 02004, 02006, 02009, 02052, 02060, 02080, 93127, 98004, 98154, BRC-317, BRC-318, BRC-319, Balksar, Vinhar, C-44, 05101) were resistant, 15 moderately resistant, 26 moderately susceptible, and 8 susceptible. No genotypes were resistant at reproductive stage, however, 9 genotypes (06019, 06025, 06023, 06037, 06038, Pb-2000, 06057, 06060, 98154) were resistant, 4 moderately resistant, 26 moderately susceptible, and 42 susceptible. Chickpea genotypes identified as resistant during this study may be exploited in breeding programs to develop resistant varieties. |
