Zusammenfassung:An oriental lily (Lilium spp.) 'Swan Beauty' was released in 2006 at National Horticultural Research Institute, Rural Development Administration, Suwon, Korea. The cross was made in 1995 between oriental lily 'Helvetia', a white colored variety, and 'Expression', a white colored variety for cut flower. It was preliminarily selected as 'O-01-36' in 2001 for its stable flower quality with white petal (RHS 155C) and upward-facing. Multiplication, bulbing, and characteristic tests were conducted from 2002 to 2005. The evaluation of characteristics was investigated as 'Wongyo C1-86' in 2006 at Suwon. 'Swan Beauty' flowers in early July and grows to an average of 134 cm. It has a strong fragrance. The width of flower is 18.3 cm. Mean tepal length and width are 10.6 cm and 3.7 cm, respectively. Leaves are 14.0 cm long and 4.1 cm wide. Papillae are located on the inner tepals and are white (RHS 155C). The stigma is dark purple and pollen is dark brown.
