Elastase and Hyaluronidase Inhibition Activities of Phlorotannins Isolated from Ecklonia cava

Six phlorotannins were isolated from Ecklonia cava, a brown alga belonging to Alariaceae, collected offshore Jeju Island. Among the phlorotannins, dieckol showed strong elastase inhibition and hyaluronidase inhibition.
