In vitro rooting and multiple buds formation from asparagus [Asparagus officinalis] lateral buds with ancymidol
In vitro rooting of asparagus lateral bud was promoted by culturing on the MS medium containing 5muM ancymidol and 5% sucrose, with about 90% of survival explants. Multiple buds formation was observed by the addition of 3.9-39muM ancymidol and 3% sucrose, with 12.7 shoots on the medium containing 11...

Zusammenfassung: | In vitro rooting of asparagus lateral bud was promoted by culturing on the MS medium containing 5muM ancymidol and 5% sucrose, with about 90% of survival explants. Multiple buds formation was observed by the addition of 3.9-39muM ancymidol and 3% sucrose, with 12.7 shoots on the medium containing 11.7muM ancymidol, but some of them was vitrified tissues. Plantlets with normal roots and shoots was obtained by culturing on the medium containing 5-10muM ancymidol and 5% sucrose for 2 months, with 70% of explants. Combination of ancymidol of 5-50muM and 5% sucrose promoted multiple buds formation, and they grew to shoots by transferring to the medium without ancymidol |
