Zusammenfassung: | "A questionnaire study is conducted to investigate a mental aspect that shows how people meet and see a drainage station as an element of landscape in their daily life. Six drainage stations constructed for agriculture and suburban life about 3 to 40 years ago around Uchino Town located in the Niigata Plain, Niigata City, are selected in the study. Questionnaire sheets attached by a color photograph of the drainage station and tabulated by 17 sets of image against the photograph such as ""Friendly or not-friendly?"", ""Warm or cool?"", and ""Harmonious or not-harmonious?"" are distributed to 16 residents (58 years old in average) in Uchino Town and 19 university students (21 years old in average) near Uchino Town. The images against the drainage stations are answered in five level of degree, for example, ""Very warm"", ""Warm"", ""Any one"", ""Cool"", or ""Very cool"" in a case of question ""Warm or cool?"" The questionnaire sheets checked by the residents and the students are recorded into numeral data, and examined by a statistical factor analysis to find out essential mental aspects that are raised by the residents and the students when they meet the drainage station. As well the essential mental aspects found out are correlated to a degree of favorite that the residents and the students feel against the drainage station by using a multiple regression analysis of the questionnaire data. It is shown that the mental aspects that are raised by people are different between the residents and the students because of their age and life style. Some correspondence of image related to the favorite is noticed between the residents and the students." |
