Zusammenfassung:Hybrid cell lines producing monoclonal antibodies against Staphylococcus aureus (Sta. aureus) Wood46 were established. The specificity of the antibodies was ascertained by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The sandwich ELISA using the monoclonal antibody as detecting antibody and polyclonal antibody as capture antibody was developed for detection of Sta. aureus isolated from bovine milk. The sensitivity of the test was 10(7)-10(8) colony forming units per ml
