Zusammenfassung:Bioluminescent mutants of Pseudomonas syringae B728 were obtained by transposon mutagenesis with Tn4431, which contains a promoterless luciferase (lux) operon of Vibrio fischeri. Expression of the lux genes was easily monitored, both in laboratory culture media and in the phyllospere of plants in which the mutants were released, by measuring light production with a rapid autoradiographic technique or a more quantitative photometric assay. Results show the suitability of bioluminescent marker to detect and monitor the bacterium Mediante mutagenesi con il trasposone Tn4431 contenente i geni lux di Vibrio fischeri privi di promotore sono stati ottenuti mutanti bioluminescenti di Pseudomonas syringae.
