Zusammenfassung:Clinicopathological changes of graded dose levels of levofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone chemotherapeutic agent, were studied in croiler chickens. Birds administered orally with therapeutic dose of levofloxacin (60mg/kg b.wt.) developed mild gastrointestinal signs, anaemia, leucopenia, hypoglycemia, hypoproteinemia and increased transaminase activity. Double and triple therapeutic doses produced severe gastrointestinal signs, partial loss of body weight, droopiness and leg weakness accompanied with significant (P0.05 or P0.01) anaemia, leucopenia, hypoglycemia, hypoproteinemia and increased transaminase activity.
