Zusammenfassung: | Beef producing in Belarus is mainly realized through fattening of calves of Belarusian black-and-white breed, representing dairy livestock. That's why, the problem of increment of beef producing may be solved through increase of animals' number in herds or due to intensification of selective and breeding work, directly influencing animals' meat productivity. Development and improvement of breeding qualities of calves (strong morphometric characteristics, high viability and meat productivity) appear the most effective direction of selection process. The main goal of the research is investigation of the most important characteristics of meat producing capacity of black-and-white calves – descendants of different breeds. The indices characterizing the growth and development of black-and-white bulls are studied when the bulls have been born, and then at the age of 3, 6, 9, 12, 18 months. The study is carried out in order to improve the breeding abilities of black-and-white bulls of the Belarusian, American, Canadian, Sweden and Hungarian breeding at the enterprise Plemzavod Ross of Grodno region. According to the results meat productivity of bull-calves has been assessed. The chemical composition, physical and chemical characteristics of muscular tissue of the animals is studied. |
