Zusammenfassung: | Nodulation and plant growth responses are reported for 3 Rhizobium strains on 4 soil types following lime and fertilizer applications. There were growth responses to inoculation overall at the initial harvest, but these, and some small strain differences, declined with time as native strains replaced the inoculants. There were considerable site differences particularly in the proportion of nodules formed by persistent inoculum. More work is required on the N economy of leucaena in Malayan soils, and in locating persistent inocula. |
