I looked up and saw a female about 4m high and 3m away. We looked at each other a few seconds and it began taping twigs smaller and up to the diameter of a pencil. Did not appear to be foraging. The twigs were very springy. Perhaps it was replacement behavior. It seemed very tame. It stopped tapping for a moment so I put the mike up pulled out the camera and made 50 pics or so. Then I pulled out the recorder again just in time to get a full session of notes and a rattle. (Same individual as 140329-27.); animal seen:yes; playback used:no |
