Catalan prose text of the Breviari dAmor, composed in the region of Béziers in the first part of the XIII century. F. A: title of the XV century, “Breviari damor de tutte coses in lingua catalana.” F. A: title of the XVI century, “Catelain Breviere of death and several things concerning human life.” F. The text develops the mystical meanings of love: it is the mystical love that unites the three people of the Trinity, it is the creative love of everything that exists, the love of God and the neighbor, the love of man for land goods, the love of creatures between them, the love of the father for children. All the chapters that make up the work are articulated as the branches of the Tree of Love. Preamble consisting of 260 verses. The work begins with an allegorical exhibition, the Tree of Love, which includes 632 verses, under 12 headings. First section: “Aysi comensa la materia de l 'tree damor in general”. Last entry: “Ayssi mostra que l 'expositios de la tree damor se deu far dissenden quar amor..” The whole of the book is very regularly divided into chapters: The text takes the form of a treaty of the Christian religion, the author places God in the first circle of his symbolic tree, as being the principle and source of all love: “Ayssi comensa lexpositios del celcle de Dieu quez es primier e sobiras en l 'tree damor”; “De la divina essencia”; “De la divina natura”; "Del saber de Dieu e de la predestinaio dels eAt the end, the manuscript contains one more chapter than the other versions of this text. This chapter is entitled: “Del escript of Nicodemus who sabolli lo cors of Jezu Christ.” This chapter does not appear in the edition of the text published by Azaïs.
