The boat template comes from Harry Hallberg’s shipyard in Kungsviken on Orust. The boat templates were kept in the attic in the boat hall in Kungsviken. Templates were served in connection with the demolition of the shipbuilding in 2015. The gift consists of four template stands made on the yard have been used for the construction of the following boat types: Ruffad 14-julle (UM032165 - UM032170); Strip oak (UM032171 - UM032174); Lysekilsjulle (UM032175 - UM032180) and Star Boat (UM032181 - UM032187). It is possible that some of the templates may originally come from older boat builders in Kungsviken. Harry Hallberg (1914 - 1997) began building boats in 1928, at the age of 14 in the Gulf of Kungsviken on Orust. Initially, he built boats entirely in wood more or less known. The solutions were discussed with the orderer as was done at all times. “Whoever can’t build a boat without drawings, is no real boatbuilder,” it is said. In 1943 Hallberg opened his own shipyard and then bought the building. Here, Folk Boats, Star Boats, Jullar and P 28th were built on running bands. The first boat in series was the Folk Boat in the 1940s. The Royal Cruiser that came in the mid-1950s was also a success. What most distinguished Hallberg was that he understood early on the advantages of building in glass fibre reinforced plastics and building in series. The P-28th became a role model in many respects. Harry Hallberg was one of the pioneers in building pleasure boats in large series and in plastic. The yard grew out of its premises and Hallberg built new in Ellös on Orust under the name AB Harry Hallberg’s Shipbuilding, Ellös. The German-born boatbuilder Christoph Rassy bought the shipyard in Kungsviken by Hallberg. In 1972, Harry Hallberg withdrew and also the Ellös shipyard was bought up by Christopher Rassy. The shipyard then changed its name to Hallberg-Rassy Varvs AB. MALLSTÄLL 1 HARRY HALLBERG,
