Zusammenfassung:The objectives of this year’s campaign were to continue the excavation started in 2002 and 2011. The archaeological research undertaken at „The Archaeological Reservation from Tibiscum”- Jupa village, Caransebeș town, Caraș Severin county, was concentrated on the elementary conservation of the Roman urban buildings, like the building XIII (4). Excavations began on 01.08.2012, in the neighbouring building XIII (4). Section dimensions are 6.25 x 3.50 m, and we reached a depth of 3.20 m. During the archaeological campaign from 2011 we found a building located at 2.25 m from the building XIII (4), which had wooden walls supported on a foundation of river stone, brick and mortar. The archaeological investigation from this year continued unveiling the portico of the new building. In addition, we found that before this building was constructed, in this area was erected a wooden barrack associated with early Roman occupation in Dacia. Archaeological inventory is quite poor and consists in pottery, fragments of terra sigillata, fragments of an iron knife, bricks and a Roman lamp bearing the stamp FORTIS. Destruction of the wooden barrack it happened during the Hadrian’s reign. Decommissioning of the building above the level of wooden barrack, should be made in connection with the enlargement of the Roman road.
