Zusammenfassung:The diagnostic archaeological investigations of the Komariv tumular necropolis from Costâna-Imaș/Pasture (Middle Bronze Age) have been carried on, using both non-intrusive methods (archaeological pedestrian field surveys, through which two tumuli (T.4-T.5) and four new archaeological sites were identified; the palaeo-geographical framework determination; the study of orthophotoplans and satellite maps) and intrusive ones (archaeological excavations T.2/2012). Methodologically speaking, T.2 (heavily disturbed by modern works) was divided into four quarters/sectors (I/SE, II/SW, III/NW, IV/NE) and sections (trenches) (S.I-V). For its construction less Sarmatian sandstone than in T.1/2011 was used. The grave 1 (G.1/2012) was found approximately at the centre of the tumulus, in an oval-shaped pit (–1.65 to –1.95/2 m deep; 1.65 m x 0.95 m, in length and width). The deceased (Maturus) was put down on the back, north-south oriented, with the head on a thin layer of red ochre, with his hands alongside the body, and his legs crouched: the knees were lifted and “fallen” to the right, thus denoting the Yamnaya type traditions, perpetuated through Mnogovalikovaya influences. Above the tomb (–0.15 m) a polished stone battle axe was found.
