Zusammenfassung:The archaeological preventive digging in this campaign partly investigated the Princely Way road section, the main thoroughfare of the city, known in the Middle Ages as the „Great Lane”. From the points surveyed we mention: The White Church Cemetery, to the South, where the investigation confirmed the existence of this place of worship at the turn of the 15th century; the Princely Way, at No. 200, across the street from the Princely Court of Târgoviște, where we discovered a perimeter of crafts production dated, on archaeological material, in the first half of the 15th century and documented by a pottery kiln and a blacksmith’s shop, served by a well. Among the finds of glazed ceramics of good quality we mention an oriental plate and an oriental bowl, the oldest identified in Targoviste, yet. A third point was „Doi Brazi” Market (Bărăției), known in the Middle Ages as „The Upper Bazaar”, in fact the first market of the medieval town.
