Raport arheologic: Cristian/comuna: Cristian/județul: Sibiu/punct: Cristian II (2011)

During October-December 2011 preventive archaeological research took placein the archaeological site Cristian II, from Cristian, Sibiu county with traces belonging to Prehistory and the Roman Period. The first archaeological level is represented by a settlement belonging to Basarabi culture. Two houses were identified, a series of ovens and animal offerings in a steam located nearby. The second archaeological level is represented by a Roman fish-farming arrangement. The presence of a communication system between the ponds was noticed. The same level comprises pits with Roman artefacts. All archaeological materials, plans and databases are to be found at the Brukenthal National Museum.
