Archaeological report: Săvșin/comuna: Săvșin/Raport county: Arad/dot: Cetuie (2009)

In the 2009 campaign we determined 24 faunal left-overs belonging to Coțofeni levels added to the 65 bones from the 2007-2008 campaigns. Distribution of material on the species show the prevalence of domestic mammals as a percentage of 84.2% compared to 15.9% share of game. Cattle are the majority with 73.6% followed by ovicaprine and dogs, each one with 5.3%. In this campaign, no pig bones were found, in previous campaigns totalling 8.7% of their material. In the wild segment were determined bones of deer, horses and aurochs, each taxon is ranked separately by 5.3%. Campaign 2009 has provided only 24 bones belonging to Dacian level, of which one third comes from complex 33. 2007-2008 campaigns have provided 857 remains dating to this epoch, which is an available database for the following considerations. The statistics of 2009, the cattle are listed with 70.8% followed by pigs, with 16.6% and 4.2% ovicaprine. Wild segment totalling 8.4% includes bones of red deer and boar, each one with 4.2%.
