Zusammenfassung:The excavations undergone on Str. Munteniei in 2009 continued the research of the previous years: In 2001, a section was opened on the eastern side of the archaeological reservation - SXVII/01- and in 2007, another one, on its southern part - SXVIII/07. These were the subject of research in 2009. SXVII/01. Due to the enlargement of the section motivated by the collapse of its edges, the corner of the Roman building previously excavated has been made more visible. So, the different methods of construction come suggest the existence of distinct sub-phases. On the northern half of the section, a gravel structure suggests the existence of an interior courtyard or of a street, as part of the same buildings complex. SXVIII/07.The main result of this campaign consists in the discovery of construction elements dated from the both inhabitation phases previously delimited in the governor’s palace. Another interesting element is a very well preserved praefurnium that was destined to heat an eastern room. Artifacts The most representative material for this site is the stamped tegular material. The stamps bear the sign of legio XIII Gemina, persons’ names and - quite often - the stamp of pedites singulares, characteristic for this site. Other pieces from this campaign are a bone Roman needle, a Severian knee-brooch, and a fragmentary lamp, with the name of Fortis. Future objectives - Excavating all the structures from the southern and eastern sides of the site. - Preserving and restoring the governor’s palace, introducing on the main touristic stream, as it is a unique site for Roman Dacia.
