Raport arheologic: Albești/comuna: Albești/județul: Constanța/punct: Cetate (2008)

The aim of the 2008 archaeological campaign was to excavate the extra muros area (the sector C squares), and along the Eastern precincts (in sector A) as well as dismantling some excavation baulks situated between dwellings L1 and L3, and in the western fortress area. On the eastern side, partially covering the precincts, we excavated dwelling L5. Dated towards the end of the 3rd century B.C., it aligns with the dwellings L1 – L3, situated inside the fortress. The same type of space organization can be noted on the western side of the sector A, and on the southern side. The defensive wall is doubled by a strong wall on the inside (most probably at the same distance – 5.50 m, like on the southern side).
