Archaeological report: Negrilesti/commune: Negrilesti/county: Galati/dot: School Court (2008)

The ceramics resulted from the investigations belong to Bronze Age and Noua Culture respectively, the 4th century B.C., The Sântana de Mureș-Cerneahov Culture, the 8th-10th centuries, the 19th century. As types of vessels we mention: cups, jars, tureens, large vessels. It is also important to mention that there is a jar belonging to the 8th – 10th centuries, discovered unbroken, full of river stones. These ones presented evidence of burning. It is supposed that they were used to warm the house. The discovered tools belong to the Bronze Age, the 8th-10th centuries, the 19th century, respectively. As a type, they are specific for each period: The Bronze Age – scapula increasing, pendant stone, bronze needles, the 8th-10th centuries – bone pattern, the 19th century – various objects of iron.
