Zusammenfassung:	In the 2006 summer campaign, in the Neolithic necropolis from Sultana, Călărași County, “Valea Orbului” point, we dug a parcel of 160 square metres and we discovered 36 burials. The skeletons in the tombs were laid on the left side, some of them being turned with the chest up or down. The majority of the skeletons were placed with the head to the SE. 24 of the tombs contained funerary inventory, composed of adornments and tools. The adornments were: different kinds of beads, rings, pendants, bracelets and buckles from shells. These categories of finds were found in the tombs of young women in the chest area, considered by some researchers “custos verginitatis”. The tools in the tombs were: microlithic, and hermines blades.
