The site is located on the bridging between Pleșa and Paliș hills. The objective of the excavations was to rescue the archaeological vestiges found on the track of the future Highway in the area of the site of Porț Paliș. To this end we drew 42 areas, as we excavated ana area of 2244.42 m2. In this area we identified and excavated 134 archaeological complexes, most of which belong to the category of pillar pits, some of them are part of the fortification system. 32 complexes are the lower parts of domestic pits that at first must have been supplies pits, and the 12 homes are above ground. The pottery discovered has very close analogies with those belonging to the Sanislău-Nir group or Celtic La Tène period (4th – 3rd centuries BC).
