Histria Archaeological Site (2006)

In 2006, the excavation continued in S1 ext and offered new data concerning Basilica 1 and Basilica 2, as well. Important observations have been made for the presumed plan and chronology of the two subsequent monuments. We have identified in S5 new data for the apse of the earlier basilica (Basilica 1), discovered the previous year. S4 offered us the opportunity to observe construction details for the late basilica (Basilica 2). The excavation continued in S6 and made possible the observation of a possible entry to the late basilica from the annex, of which we have identified only the north and south walls.
