Zusammenfassung:The 2004 excavation focused on two trenches: Cuptoare and Domus. The main results of the excavation in the Cuptoare trench are the uncovering of a secondary road, completing the street line of this area of the civil settlement as well as that of some structures relating to metal processing. The secondary road (Road B) heads approximately in parallel to the main road of the area and to another secondary road. The 1.35 m wide road consists of a gravel structure bulging in the central part and occurred 1.2 m from the current treading level. The road is bordered to the south by a stone margin about 0.35 m wide, and to the north by a breakable stone slabs forming a kind of a pavement. The slab structure about 2.5 m wide lies approximately 0.3 m above the road and has a gravel clay substruction. On the other side of the road the slab structure is paralleled by a clay treading level. The finds are substantial: harness pendants never found in Dacia before, whole and fragmentary fibulas, an iron ring with a gem depicting Fortune, an enameled target, lamps, mortaria and terra sigillata fragments, a crustullum depicting Diana and various metal artifacts including the bronze set of a theca calanaria and several fibulas, including a silver one. Concerning the Domes sector it is worth mentioning that the construction had tow constructive phases, a stone one and a wood one. We uncovered wall segments corresponding to these two phases. We recovered a bronze artifact and an iron spear tip. The artifact dates to the second half of the 2nd century AD.
