Raport arheologic: Chitila/comuna: Chitila/județul: Ilfov/punct: Fermă (2002)

The 2002 excavations at Chitila-Fermă took place both on the Neolithic tell and the settlement dated to the 2nd-5th centuries AD. In the Neolithic tell the profile of the old section was cleaned and redrawn. This was followed by further excavation in a new section with the purpose of checking again the stratigraphy of the tell, finding new graves and excavating the rest of the Gumelnița levels. The many Neolithic finds include: fragments of bone amulets, clay figurines, clay and copper beads. They were attributed to the Gumelnița culture. In the 2nd-5th centuries settlement we found more iron tools and weapons, coins, a fragment from a mirror handle, fragments of bronze buckles.
